Zinc plating

Newly constructed factory for surface treatments service is situated on Prague street in industrial zone of Humpolec town. In 1st stage of build - up were effected full building operations with production through space 2 300 m2 and was installed galvanic zinc plating line with possibility of hinge and drum zinc coating.

Two lines galvanic zinc plating line is fully automated, managed by special last generation software. The software is able to give all informations and outputs necessary for effective production management as well as quality system ISO 9001.

Galvanic zinc application is an electrolytic process, during which, over the electrically conductive materials (mostly steel parts - cathodes), a layer of zinc is deposited while the zinc anode simultaneously dissolves. This creates an anticorrosion layer and also delivers pleasantly looking finish. The most suitable materials for galvanizing are sheet metal steel parts or eventually, cast or forged products. To ensure a good quality zing application it is necessary to carry out elimination of rough scaling, paints or deep corrosion. The quality of entry material bears a decisive influence over the visual properties of the galvanized part.

Thanks to additional operations in process of chemical pretreatments we have possibility to provide zinc plating of products; these are much scaled in requested quality.

In the process is applied modern alkaline zinc bath last generation with very even spreading of zinc layer also on big parts. Thanks mentioned technology we are able to apply up to 35 microns without negative influences. Electroplated goods are - according to wish consumer –passivated by blue or yellow chromatizing. We are able to apply also passivation Cr6 (hexavalent chrome) free with high corrosive immunity. Next increasing corrosive immunity allows so - called sealing by silicate or organic varnish.

TECHNOLOGICAL PROCEDURE
  • Chemical degreasing
  • Two step through flow rinsing
  • Pickling I
  • Pickling II
  • Two step through flow rinsing
  • Electrochemical degreasing
  • Two step through flow rinsing
  • Decapping
  • One step through flow rinsing
  • Galvanic Zincing
  • Two step through flow rinsing
  • Clearing up
  • Rinsing by a drinking water
  • Chromic acid rinse
  • One step through flow rinsing
  • One step through flow rinsing
  • Sealing of chromates
  • Drying

In the galvanizing process, the chromatizing without presence of Cr VI blue colour in preparation is the chromatizing -yellow layer passivation without the Cr VI.

MAXIMUM DIMENSION OF ZINC PLATED PARTS:
length2 750 mm
width450 mm
height1 250 mm

Increasing

Expressive improvement of corrosive protection of treated parts is possible to achieve by combination galvanic zinc plating and cataphoresis painting. This way effected surface treatment ensures peak anticorrosive protection over 1000 hours in salt chamber.
