LAKUM-KTL, a.s.
LAKUM-KTL, a.s. was established in Frydlant nad Ostravici in the year 1998. Its business objective was to offer surface treatments at high quality standard, primarily for the automotive field but also for additional consumer industries and constructions.
In the year 1999, operation of the cataphoretic paintshop was commissioned into service and commenced activities as a line dedicated to the surface painting, using water soluble wet paints. In the year 2000 a new line for application of powder paints was constructed. This technology was put out of service on 2007 to be started again in 2010 after renovation.
In 2000 the corporation gained the certificate for Quality Management as per CSN EN ISO 9002: 1994 certified by the company TÜV CERT. In the following year a production in the metal fabrication division commenced - by stamping parts largely for the automotive industry and on CNC sheet metal lines, products for the consumer industries began to be made. In the year 2003 the corporation increased the authorised capital stock to 22 Mil. CZK. In the same year the certificate for the quality management system was obtained to certify compliance with the ČSN EN ISO 9001: 2001 certified by the company TÜV CZ.
In the year 2004 a construction of a new line for the galvanic zinc coating commenced. In the year 2005 the corporation was awarded by the Czech republic's Ministry for Industry and Commerce as a "Sub-supplier of the year 2004". The reconstruction of the manufacturing hall for the CNC sheet metal processing started at the same time.
In the year 2006 the line for zinc plating line was commissioned into service and in the new premises the CNC sheet metal processing fabrication commenced operating at a full capacity. And at the same year the activity on the line of wet spraying by the water soluble paints was terminated without substitution.
New modern KTL paint line with big capacity has been opened to service in 2008. Currently, the corporation manages four kinds of surface treatment technologies and CNC steel sheets processing technology.

Quality Policy
The following policy of quality management is hereby declared mandatory:
FUNDAMENTAL ORIENTATION OF THE CORPORATION:
- Continue improving and developing the quality system as per ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001
- Introduce the Quality Assurance system as per ISO TS 16 949:2002 and, the enviromental protection system as per ČSN EN ISO 14 001:2005
- To achieve an objective to make the corporation a serched business partner and supplier, where there will be a sense of security - not only for the customers, but also for the employees of the corporation.
CORPORATION ORIENTATION TOWARDS PROTECTING ENVIRONMENT:
- Environment protection is of the same importance as the economic success
- Fundamental element is the prevention
- Adherence to the legislature requirements for the environment protection is fundamental for continuous improvement of the environment status
- Corporation management must be the guarantor of the incessant improvement effort and, the prevention of polluting
- Constant renewal of the overall technology including the improvement of information and management systems is a key factor for providing quality services together with minimization of adverse impact on the environment
- Open communication, transparent and clear information, and that not only in the field of ecology, is a base for building correct relationships with any of the communicative partners
- In relations with our suppliers, we cannot ignore the area of environment
MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT:
- The corporate management identifies itself with the demands of the environmental norms as well as the system standards, i.e. with the principles of an effective introduction and unceasing improvement of managing all processes that impact on the quality in the whole corporation, and onto the environment
- The General director of the corporation is responsible for the quality of the products, services and secures all the necessary organizational, financial and human resources needed for the introduction and implementation as well as further advancement of both, the environmental protection as well as the quality systems.
